David Andrew Wiseman

Meet David Andrew Wiseman, a physicist by education, but has worked his whole career in embedded system development, first in the avionics industry and then later in automotive. Over the last two decades David has spent his time training others to do what he can do, and finds this very rewarding. The whole 'teach a man to fish, and you feed him for life' thing. This involves more than just developing training slides and holding classroom sessions. It is so essential to provide a completely joined up approach, using process definitions in an easy to navigate web application, integrated tool chains, and hands on training workshops. David Andrew Wiseman's work takes me to all over the world, and provides him with an opportunity to work with all the main automotive OEM's and Tier 1 suppliers. At the moment David's focus has been on developing new safety and security standards as part of the ISO working groups, and to then to provide guidance on how to interpret these standards and to integrate them into an existing company process. Of course, in this day and age, it means figuring out how to apply these standards in an agile development environment, and to leverage visual design tools where ever possible.   For fun, David Andrew Wiseman loves to read, cook, but also enjoys Kayaking on local rivers in Germany and Luxembourg, and to ski in the winter months. David also loves to ditch the car, or truck, at times in favor of an aging GSXR1100 motorcycle, but these days this is limited to the summer months. rather than the year round activity of his youth. When feeling a little more adventurous, a little white water rafting comes in to play. And when feeling more creative, renovation of old house or even to building something new.   David Andrew Wiseman
